Orangeville Badminton Social Club (OBSC)

Welcome!

Orangeville Badminton Social Club (OBSC) is your local non-profit community badminton group for adults and teens (15-17). The club was organized this summer when our local school board decided not to continue to offer the Recreational Badminton program (amongst other Adult Programs) and asked for community groups to take over administration and operation of the program.

Our focus is on fun, social, and non-competitive badminton, providing a friendly, safe, and organized environment to play, socialize, and improve your skills. We operate from the Double Gym of West Side Secondary School in Orangeville.

Registration

Membership for 2025-2026 season is full. Walk in available on Sunday's (Except May 17th) at 7-9 PM (Subject to availability) till June 21st.

Playing walk in is two-step process:

Step 1: Complete the Registration & Waiver Form Fill Out Form

Step 2: Make payment of 10 $ of each walk in day via e-Transfer to: obsc.connect@gmail.com

Schedule (2025–2026)

When: Sundays, 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Where: Westside Secondary School Gym
Sessions: Approximately 32 sessions from Oct 5th 2025 to Jun 21st 2026
Some Sundays may not have sessions; full schedule provided after registration

Parking & Entry Instructions:

Enter through the parking lot entrance if open; otherwise, walk through the gate to the left.
Go through the double doors on the right, then turn left down the hallway to reach the gym.

Rules & Requirements

Safe Play: All participants must ensure that games are played in a safe and respectful manner, in compliance with OBSC club rules, even if office bearers or organizers are not present.
Waiver & Membership Requirement: No individual may participate unless they have completed the online waiver & consent form and paid the required membership fee. Guest participants are permitted only with advance approval and must also complete the waiver before play.
Collective Responsibility: Members are collectively responsible for upholding these requirements during all sessions.
Equipment & Attire: Non-marking indoor shoes are mandatory. Bring your own rackets and shuttlecocks; nets are provided.
Attendance Courtesy: If a full-time member cannot attend a session, they should notify the organizers in advance so other members can plan games properly.
Respect & Conduct: Follow safety instructions, respect other participants, and ensure safe play at all times.
Compliance: All participants must comply with OBSC club rules and code of conduct as listed on this website.
